What actually makes a get well message land
Say you are thinking of them and mean it specifically. Naming what they are missing, or what must be tedious about it, shows you have actually considered their situation.
Offer something concrete rather than open-ended. "Let me know if you need anything" puts the work on them; naming a specific thing you will do does not.
Do not include advice, remedies, or stories about someone else who had the same thing.
